Lava-12 Liquid Embolic Products
LavaTM Liquid Embolic Device is available in three different formulations: Lava 12, 18 and Lava 34. The numbers indicate the viscosity in centipoise. The lower viscosity versions Lava 12 feature special embolic properties which are quite different from competitors. Due to its lower viscosity, Lava 12 can enable faster and longer antegrade flow of LEA during embolization, and accordingly lead to a faster and more effective penetration of the target vasculature. Accordingly, Lava 18 is standard viscous and Lava 34 is higher viscous. Lava 18 is the most commonly used formulation for the embolization of AVMs and DAVFs while the high viscosity formulations are typically used for larger arterial feeders and high-flow shunts.

1.There is no theoretical risk of the microcatheter becoming clogged or stuck because it is non-adhesive material.
2.Comprehensive viscosity is available in 12, 18 and 34.
3.More fluidness makes it deeper penetration and dispersion into the nidus and distal microvessels.
4.Stable and controlled delivery to reach target embolism.

5.The micronized grain size of Tantalum powder enables a slower precipitation of the radiopaque powder which stays longer in the Lava suspension.

Each Lava kit Contains:
One 1.5 ml vial of Lava-18
A 1.5 ml vial of DMSO
One 1 ml blue syringe for DMSO
Two 1 ml white syringes for Lava
